Tuscan Winery Wedding at Church and State

March 6, 2020 · Leave a Comment

Dione + Alex | Wedding

Set in the beautiful area of Brentwood Bay rests a winery that fills all your Tuscan Wedding dreams – Church and State   . This winery features a stunning patio for entertainment, views of the orchard, and a wine cellar giving off chic industrial vibes. There  are so many words that could be said about this venue it really is an ideal location to have your dream wedding.

We couldn’t be happier with this wedding! Dione and Alex lived a dream with their plummeting chiffon used as the ceremony backdrop, it took the stage as you walked in the room! Outlined by romantic candles. Low profile Tarno chairs were set in simple rows and decorated minimally with tassels. This allowed the backdrop to really stand out as the main event of this ceremony. The tassels were carried throughout the table setting at dinner, and the seating cards displayed on a peg board. Here at Trend we love taking on DIY projects that make your wedding just that much better!

Dione + Alex | Wedding

Outside at dinner we did a long table down the center of the terrace, with trailing greenery from Cartref Gardens. the whole setting felt Whimsical yet polished. We decorated the table with elegant candles, for luminance during the dinner and our Vineyard Crossback chairs – perfect for  . . . well, a vineyard! Nothing says winery wedding like the crossback Chairs. On top of the table our Wheat Linens draped with accents of Burt orange, blues, and emerald greens. These colours were shown in the place setting, lounge, candles, and all tied together with florals. Guest were able to enjoy the atmosphere while eating dinner with a view on Church and States vineyard.

It should be mentioned that this wedding was featured in Rocky Mountain Bride  and was nominated for the Vancouver Island Wedding Awards! Its such an honor to be featured in these platforms. Getting to be a part of crating all this beauty is why we love what we do! Its always so rewarding to see how happy we can make our Grooms and Brides on their wedding days.

A warm thank you to:

Welcome to the stunning estate of Hatley Castle!

Hailing from Seattle, Natasha and Vince decided to have a destination wedding at the gorgeous Hatley Castle! Their decor was inspired by the theme of vintage, elegance; and most importantly, travel.

Hatley Castle is truly a breathtaking venue worthy of recognition. Its sprawling gardens and old stone walls allow guests to be transported to something out of a fairy tale. Hatley has been the sought after filming destination for such blosk busters as, X-Men, Deadpool, Smallville, and Arrow.

The Ceremony featured rows of our low profile Tarno chairs, all leading to the alter which stood simply in front of a backdrop to die for. For the alter, draped chiffon with classic floral arrangements done by Ingrid Rose Floral Artistry. Greeting the

In the reception room of Hatley, tables were draped in double layered lace with our gold rimmed chargers and gold cutlery placed on top with navy napkins, to the Side sat blush depression  goblets. Because of the theme of travel, the couple used vintage luggage tags as seat placements! This was a fun idea, that let the guests interact with the overall theme of the wedding. Throughout Trend placed Silver trays, old vintage books that held accent candles, and simply elegant floral. Trends crossback chairs with cream cushions were crucial for bringing the whole theme together.

Outside, cocktail tables with blush lines lined the balcony overlooking Hatleys gardens. At the side was placed a lounge where guests could sit in comfort and style. Its vintage couches and chairs tied into the theme seamlessly.

Trend Decor  focuses on bringing your dream wedding into reality. With hundreds of different style options, your imagination is the limit.

Bold Shanghai Glam

December 17, 2018 · Leave a Comment

It was a honor to win the Vancouver Island Wedding Awards ~ Best wedding Designer With a Difference!  The award is granted to a design that stands out as unique, maybe a bit out of the box and daring in its design.

WINNER2018

Because the concept for this wedding was an elegant Asian fusion with stunning antiques. We featured bold reds, and blues, accompanied by subtle hints of blush and peach to tie it all together.

Upon entering the ceremony in the Fairmont Empresses Palm Court, you’re greeted with rows of clear ‘ghost chairs”, all leading you towards the powerful display of floral and candles draped around an antique attention demanding mantel and mirror. To the side a greeting table was placed, holding pictures of loved ones and candles.

The reception was held in the Crystal Ballroom and featured a shanghai style, mixed elegantly with antique chargers and beautiful blush napkins. The center pieces, which were placed in traditional oriental blue and white china, carried the floral styles of the ceremony onto the tables creating a flawless transition of concept.

We would like to thank Michele and Brian for trusting us with our vision of their special day, and congratulations to you both.We sincerely hope that your special day was everything you hoped for and more.

Behind the scenes of every wedding, there is a team of people dedicated to making is the best day possible. It is for this reason that Trend could not have received this honor without the help of the following people.

Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse lush greenery westcoast quinceanera party

November 30, 2017 · Leave a Comment

It’s not very often you get to design and decorate for a Quinceanera event ! I was thrilled to be a part of Dana’s 15th birthday festivities at the Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse. A Quinceanera is the Hispanic tradition of celebrating a young girl’s coming of age- her 15th birthday. An event filled with lush florals and greens, a grand dessert display, and a choreography dance with her special friends chosen to participate in what is called the Court of Honor.  This event had a design that became even larger than most typical weddings! Lucky girl:)  I also couldn’t have done it without the help of some important vendor’s who assisted in making it a perfect day! Day and Month of planner, Emma Mccormick from Emma Mccormick Creative Planning & Productions. She made sure the logistics and events were in order ! And of course brought her balloons along! Dana wanted an enchanted forest theme, lush greens and succulents everywhere, Lynda from Fleurtacious , spent many hours creating the most lush thick garlands,  and really  knocked it out of the park.  Large green arrangments on our gold pedestals, blush and ivory floral hoops and arrangments, and over 400 ft of garlands suspending from the tent ceiling and the tent entrances.

The dessert table might have been my favourite though. Our wood backdrop with a custom calligraphy sign from Studio 745 with the most heartfelt poem from dana’s parents.  Succulents , florals and wood accents adorn the table, with the most colourful selection of desserts and assortments from Toque Catering, and a naked cake that did not disappoint from Ruth & Dean.dessert display greenery garland cake table quinceanera_MJP-10 15 birthday rustic cake topper
