Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m a sucker for sun, macrame, pina coladas and a palm tree, and literally anything tropical….. I could go on and on…. This mexican inspired shoot is about everything i love.  Macrame Hammocks, margaritas, bright bold colourful flowers, and wooden accents. GAH, and the cutest little restaurant you ever did see. The bright orange, fuchsia and green flowers  and colourful tapered candles look great when paired with bare wooden harvest tables, and wooden crossback chairs. Sit back and enjoy!

Beatiful handmade mexican linen, bright flowers, and custom wooden margarita signs. Can’t forget about the pinata’s!

I spoke to Becky on the phone for just a few minutes and felt like we were old friends. She gave me the word” herbs”, and green wedding and i was instantly inspired.   Fresh rosemary, wild herb bouquets to diy test tube holders, this wedding was one of my favourites. Her only request was that we have a dessert bar in memory of her father, Pies to be exact. So special, and of course we spruced it up and made the dessert area the feature “Bob’s Pie Bar” . Hanging himellis, wooden crossback chairs, rustic planter boxes, filled with herbs, tapered candles, herb favours, wooden chargers for the head table. It was a true westcoast rustic wedding.

The couple chose to have their ceremony in the forest, a simple wood arch with soft grey chiffon, and the most AWESOME  test tube chandelier filled with fresh rosemary, thanks to our gal Emma Mccormick. The beautiful dress , beautiful bride, stunning venue, this wedding will be a special one for me! All the best cory and becky!

What a year! Two apple inspired weddings within 6 months of each other! This one was a little bit different though, because lucky enough Lisa and Stu were the first ceremony at the Seacider Farm & Ciderhouse to be in the forest! A dreamy woodland forest wedding with touches of apples, ferns, himellis and ferns! Handcrafted and custom built cedar arch, with hints of ivy and chiffon, and accented with our  gold himellis handcrafted by lumota designs.  Our wooden crossback chairs filled the area with custom apple inspired watercolour  placecard seating from studio 745. Lisa lived back east, and was open to all of our ideas as long as there were hints of apples, and blushes and touches of blue!Loved every part of this wedding! And luckily i can relive this day with the beautiful photos from Lilly ann Photography  Floral loveliness by the talented Fleurtacious by Lynda marie. When I first got the call from Nicole, and she mentioned Seacider Farm & Ciderhouse, and apples, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Being a destination wedding, N & A trusted me to arrange fellow vendors as well as design a look that incorporated both elegance and rustic. Whoever knows me well  would know that  this is completely up my alley and literally my dream wedding. Apples, harvest tables, candlelight, lanterns, blush florals with greens and blackberries this wedding was full of a million details. A this is why this wedding was so special to me:)  And on the plus worked with an amazing team which in the end won me “best decor” at the Vancouver Island Wedding Awards!!!!  If it wasn’t for all the little elements such as makeup and hair with Heartwood and Co., the florals from Fresh View Events, the desserts from Ruth & Dean, the details in the stationary from Studio 745, and the most important person that captured the amazing day, Lilly Ann Photography.   I hope you enjoy looking through this beautiful day because for me it was one I will cherish forever! congrats N & A!
